What an Internet Citizen Do

Netizen an active participant in the online community of the Internet.

Netizenship a frequent or habitual user of the Internet. (Blend of Internet and Citizen)

In my view in things, Internet is a big virtual world and we the users are the citizens. As a citizen of the internet we must be responsible on what we're going to post. Words have a big impact on us that scars us and no matter what you do you won't forget it. I want to relate this topic on cyber bullying and social network like Facebook and Twitter. Everyday they have something to talk about in this social sites for example a scandal, a rumor, or  someone you really hate

Our freedom of giving opinions is being abused everyday. I believe that all of us already judge a person its either by there appearance, there attitude or by what they did. They say "What you see is what you get" and I don't believe that is true because you just assumed what happen based on what you saw instead of knowing the whole story.

Today through the use of the internet "What we see/do/know is What we post" for example: "This bitch gave the business to a female security guard. Oddly, no one called her a liar but herself" This was posted on November 13, 2012 by Mohan Gumatay. If you will open the YouTube link below, you can see the comments below. Those are some examples of opinions and judgement on her and to the Philippines  This comments and post are the things we shouldn't do. Imagine how she's going through when it happened to her when it became viral in YouTube and Facebook  it became the "pinag uusapan ng bayan". Her face & name was all over the news, in Facebook  and in Twitter; yet no one even bother to know what the whole story is they just judge what they saw in that 1 min. video.

What is right and what is wrong. This are the dos and don'ts. You should do this and you shouldn't do that. WE all know the right and wrong but do we really understand why? They say "there's nothing wrong of giving opinions" but how come they're not wrong if there hurting someone by there "opinions". We need to be responsible on what we comment or post in the internet, we should be careful on kind of words or phrases are we going to use. Think before we post/comment. When you copy something on the internet, books, news paper, etc. we shouldn't forget to "quote" them and put the source ore reference on who and where did you get the information from.
